Cats and milk? is milk good for cats? is it just a treat? will it make him sick? please explain?

Answers:
Milk is fine as long as it doesn't upset their tummy or give diarreha. Some cats tolerate it just fine and really enjoy it. There is also special cat milk that you can buy in the stores and in pet stores. You can also give cottage cheese and plain yogurt.
gives them dioria
Traditionally cats like milk, fish and a herb plant which can be seeen in Asian countries especially in Singapore beaches. That plant can cure all kinds of cats' diseases and injuries.,
Cats are lactose intolerant, which means they lack the enzyme to metabolize the sugar in milk (the lactose). I do not recommend giving it to your cat, even as a treat. It can cause diarhhea. They sell lactose free milk for cats as treats called Dairy Sip and stuff like that. Or you you buy Lactaid milk in the dairy section, but why bother? Cats don't need it so why waste your money?
I t can make him sick because it mothers milk had nutrients that cows milk does not have. It can make him very sick or simply give him diarreah
They sell special milk for cats at pet stores. I heard that regular cows milk can actually give them diareeah. My cats won't drink the "cat milk" I buy them however. I guess it just doesn't taste the same. So I buy them wet cat food from the store as a "special treat." It is better than risking them getting sick all over your house!
Only some cats are lactose intolerant, I've been giving my cats milk with a little water added all my life and they never had vomiting and diorhhea.
Some cats are lactose intolerant but my kitties love it and i give it to them all the time try it with your cat and see how it reacts to the milk only give your kitty about and ounce to start and if it doesn't have any reaction you can try giving him 2 ounces but don't give your kitty too much or it may make him sick.
Warm milk is very healthy for cats and dogs. Don't give it to your cat all the time though! IT might then gat sick
Only give cats cow's milk as a rare, occasional treat.

Cats should be fed a diet of canned or dry cat food, to assure that they get the proper nutrients.

They like Doritos, cheese, milk, raw meat, etc, but these things are not really good for them.

Too much cow's milk can give a cat diarrhea.

Always make sure that they have plenty of FRESH water!
Cats have been fed a bowl of cream for as long as people have had cats around. They love the fat in the cream and it won't hurt them. Milk, especially cow's milk, cannot be tolerated by all cats however. Some, like some people, are "lactose intolerant". Lactose is a sugar substance found in cow's milk.

Milk isn't necessary after a cat has been weaned. One of my cats loves to lick the milk from the bottom of my cereal bowl. So I would use milk sparingly at best for your cat.

If kittens are lactose intolerant cow's milk is especially dangerous for them as the resulting diarrhea can be very debilitating or even close to fatal.
Cats do not need milk, also they are lactose intolerant and can become very ill. Plenty of fresh water is all that they need. This is very important so that they don't get urinary tract infections. If your cat will only drink from a running tap (like mine) invest in a cat drinking fountain, mine love theirs and now I can turn my taps off properly.
Just remember this.Milk lasts almost a month now.they put formaldehyde in it, thats the stuff they use in dead bodies to keep them fresh for their funeral. Do you want your cat drinking that?? It also causes ADD and ADHD, its really bad you shouldnt drink it either
No milk for cats - not digestible well for them. Maybe just licking an empty cereal bowl, as our cat is doing right now!
