Answers:
Urinary tract infections can be FATAL. Once diagnosed, Feline Urinary Syndrome can be treated with a strict diet if there are no obstructions. It must be treated surgically to remove any existing obstructions or DEATH can occur!

There are NO home remedies.
If you are giving him felidae, throw that * out and buy something else.
Male cats are prone to problems like this - little crystals form and the cat can't urinate. It definitely can result in death. You'll probably have to find a cat food with a "low pH". this will help reduce the likelihood that this would happen again. I had a cat that had the same problem.
I'm sorry but there are no home remedies for this problem. it is caused by too much ash in the cat food he is eating (mostly the wet kind) feed nothing containing more than 3.0 (it will tell you on the back of the can under: guaranteed analysis.) ash. dry or wet. and yes the operations perfectly safe and a simple one at that. also this only happens to male cats but its a good idea not to feed high doses to females also. have the operation before its too late . this IS fatal.
