Answers:
Hi there again. My Filipina friend says she found catmint leaves at local tea shop since it's considered a calming type of tea. She thought maybe the shop keeper may know where to purchase or find the seeds or plants locally if you ask. She says doesn't specifically recall that they are wild grown much as they are an evasive plant destroying native specie plants.

I also thought. what about chatting in local online Philippine garden groups? Maybe someone there may know someone who sells the live catnip plant.

Catnip is a considered a weed-like plant because it is part of the mint family of plants. They don't thrive well in tropical regions as they are very susceptible to diseases. Mostly they grow well in arid and mild climates (French Riviera, Italian Malfi coasts, or mild climates such as where I live here in Seattle, etc.)

Here's another helpful idea.I found website for Philippine Cat Lovers Society. They most likely will know where one could purchase the live plant or seeds: http://www.pcls.com.ph/

Also consider joining this Yahoo group which is for Philippine cat owners: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/magpupusa/. You will be able to post a question here once you've joined (free membership) and find someone who may have answer to locate the catnip plant.
Step out for an adventure .
go to any pet store, ask them maybe they will order you some.
My husband buys catnip seeds all the time from Wal-mart. We have catnip plants all over our backyard and our cats love to roll in them! You could probably order seeds online too.
Just an idea.

My cats prefer "Spotnip" brand catnip..
I have noticed that there are several seeds in the package %26 thought about trying to grow them.
Who knows it might be worth a shot!
I have bought them in gardening stores - like where you buy plants for your yard.. but bewarned - unless you have the plant where cats cannot get it - they will roll on it and destroy it very quickly
