cats and antibiotics?

can anyone tell me if they know whether antibiotics cause cats to not eat or drink?
Answers:
Being sick can cause a cat to not eat or drink . and antibiotics are usually prescribed for an infection-type illness. Watch your cat's gums to make sure they stay nice and pink . if they start getting too pale, your kitty may be dehydrated which can be life-threatening.

Sick cats may not smell very well, so food doesn't taste as good to them. Do what you can to encourage your cat to eat and drink. offer chicken broth and warm chicken, put yogurt on your finger and stick it on the cats chin (he will lick it off), and other tasty temptations.

Contact your vet if your cat doesn't start eating or drinking within 24 hours or gets very lethargic or if it is getting dehydrated.

Purrs and prayers for you kitty.
different things affect cats in different ways. my cat was put on them and she went off her food for a day and a bit.she drank water like god knows what tho and foamed at the mouth. my vet said it was normal and it should pass.if not bring her in.it passed! lol
cats are finiky. They will stop eating and drinking for the silliest thing. Make sure they are not dehydrated. But the real problem is probably the reason she is on the abx in the first place
The answer may be here.
