Cats eating cardboard and plastic signifies what problem?

Cat only eats heavy cardboard boxes and she favors only plastic flowers.
Answers:
Cats naturally try to clean their teeth on all kinds of stuff. This includes shredding paper as well as puncturing cardboard and stiff plastic like celophane. Cats can get gingevitis and cavities, so proper dental care is mandatory for a happy pet. Nasty bad breath is often a sign of dental problems.

Good teeth come from eating lots of dry food and crunchy treats. Unless you want to brush their teeth.
almost sounds like a bad tooth problem? gnawing to eliminate pain? lacking minerals? call a vet. strange.
it's just a cat thing there's nothing wrong with your cat. My cat likes to lay in boxes and chew on the sides, but my sticks more with real flowers than plastic one's. Just hit its nose lightly when it does it and it'll learn that it's not supposed to do it and stop
my cat also lays in boxes and she loves plastic. If I have anything wrapped in plastic she would rather play and chew on the plastic than the food that is in it.
Probably the cat is really hungry. As for only plastic flowers-maybe the cat feels sick and he/she wants a plant to help he/she get up a hairball.
Sometimes cats eat weird stuff if their diet lacks taurine (an amino acid added to cat food, but not dog food) or if they have anemia. If the cat is actually ingesting the stuff you mention, I would take it to the vet for testing.

If it is just chewing, it could be to make it's teeth feel better or it could be using these items as toys.
i'd look in her mouth for bad teeth.Look for redness around the gum line, and if you touch it and the cat squarms away, you got a problem.take her to the vet
