Help, I really want to eliminate the aroma of cat urine from the house. I've done some research on-line which seems to suggest that apart from removing the carpets %26 eliminating the cats (neither of which I can or will do) that there is not a lot I can do about the smell.
However, I've heard of Urine-Off - a product that contains an enzyme that helps to 'eat the smell' (or something like that) . can anyone recommend something similar that is readily available in the UK?
Thanks

Urine-Off is probably the best product on the market and it has been available in the UK for a while now. A few years ago, Urine-Off was the official ring cleaner of the Crufts Dog Show, cleaning the pee of close to 30,000 dogs! There's also a story on their website about how they're cleaning the streets of Westminster with Urine-Off now too. Interesting reading.
See www.urine-off.co.uk
Hi there are products in the UK that deal with that problem but I have never used any as I have not that need to.however I'm tols that sprinkling bi carbs on carpets like a vac powder helps take away the pet smell.like you wash fridges out with it to take ways smells in the fride.Regards Jake
Why isn't your cat using the kitty litter box? That would stop the problem.
I know you can buy cat urine bottled in Mothercare, but as to whether there's a product that gets rid of it, I don't know.
By the way, does your avatar have that expression because of the smell?
Yes it is, try ebay or an online search. Or your local pet store.
A local pet store should have something we had to use Natures Miracle. Also see if they have Simple Solution that works well too
Hi there.Nature's Miracle is one of the better neutralizing enzymatic products available and is found worldwide in any pet store. It works by soaking the affected areas then to allow to air dry. Repeated applications may be necessary depending on how heavily soiled the areas are. Here's a photo of their product line: http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_l.
We have tested the competition including Urine-Off for our exotic cats which have very concentrated urine compared to domestic house cats and Nature's Miracle was the most effective at eliminating odours.
use zofloria disinfectant thats good i use it
There are lots of products - some are available from your local supermarket. I had an unneutered tom coming in through the cat flap and spraying and used Shaws Stain %26 Odour Remover. Worked great.
I would be more concerned about WHY the cats were doing it all over the house.

Ugh, there's nothing I hate more than the smell of cat pee! 😾
ReplyDeleteI used to have such an issue with my cats back in the times of living alone with them. You wouldn't believe the mayhem they caused! Seriously! 🙀
One of my 2 cats (both neutered guys) had taken to painting the majority of my dividers, furniture, and whatever else he could reach. I was alarmed when I got an UV light... 🔦
He never did that in the majority of the 9 years I've had him and didn't when I got him a mate (they cherish one another and did so immediately) however when a weird dark cat fired appearing outside both of my cats went crazy and the more seasoned one (9) began his divider painting, just as the window ornaments out in the kitty room. I couldn't keep up with it anymore.
My cats are indoor cats so dislike the stray is really going to get in here yet the two of them detest him (and he is weird...my neighbor's cats loathe him as well). I've taken a look at cleaning with a pet pee compound and afterward spraying some "No More Spraying" however that hasn't worked. He's a tricky little bugger as well; he holds up until he believes I'm not looking and afterward does it. He's discovered that the moment I see him backing his butt looking for trouble he gets shouted at.
It wasn't until I found "NoMoreCatPee" that I had the option to at long last dispose of this tedious conduct 🙂
Currently my home doesn't smell like a litter box any longer 🙏
