cat versus dog.?

which do u prefer.me,i prefer dog they know who is boss
Answers:
a dog definately, they are more loyal and playful
Dogs require more maintenance. I prefer dogs more but what a pain letting them out. And, you need a large yard and you have to pick up their poop.

Too much work.

A cat is far easier. Plus you can leave town without worrying about a cat.

update:
Some are saying cats are more affectionate. BULL. Dogs are unbelievably affectionate. Cats just sit there and stare at you.
dogs are wonderful
i prefer cats, they are much more affectionate
cats..they don,t need walking and can use a catflap
Dogs. i like cats too somtimes .other times they make me sick.
I agree. Depends on the dog though. I'd prefer a german shepperd
Cats. As said in 'Meet the Parents' a cat does what it wants, and you need to earn its respect, whereas a dog does what its told and shows anyone respect. Or something like that!
cats for me, got 3 of them. i have tried to have a dog (he went on to be a police dog) but i like my cats better, they don't take up as much room on the bed hahaha more room for me.
Cats are the best. My cat doesn't like to be picked up, but I do it anyway.
im the same, i prefer dogs but because of my hectic lifestyle a cat would be better for me.im still getting a dog though..im allergic to both so its a bit of a struggle.
Kittens!!
Everyone likes to be with people they are similar to in mindset. A lot of pets resemble their owners.

Dogs are sycophantic co-dependents while cats are individualitic and independent.
Cats know who is boss too!! They are.

I love both cats and dogs.I have 4 cats and 2 dogs at the moment.
100% dogs
Dogs all the way.
Cat
cats are by far the better animals dogs are dangerous
Thats cos ur a controlling f*cker! Cats rule!! They are not needy. They know their own mind and are more confident and intelligent than dogs!! Ever wondered why generically dogs are male and cats female! SAY NO MORE
I prefer dogs. They can also guard the house.
Well, my cat is your dogs boss!
dog
cats. they're so cute! haha
I perfer cats. They are very affectinate without being really needy.
I enjoy figuring them out. And I'd rather hear a cat meowing all day, over the bark of a dog.
I prefer cats, because they have cute button noses and don't require quite as much maintenance.
When you own dogs, you're worrying all day about whether it's gonna do something on your carpet. And whether it's lonely waiting for you, and whether it's clawing up your toilet paper. Cats can entertain themselves, and clean themselves, and usually don't shed as much. And they don't bark.

I love smaller dogs as well, but I'm not a huge fan of rowdy, barking big dogs, that take up half a room and jump on you when you're trying to cook.
Cats, dogs are too unpredictable
dogs without a doubt!
Cats are cleaner and can learn to use the toilet (no messing around with a litter box). They are as affectionate as you are with them. Cats are graceful and loving.

Dogs have masters; cats have servants!

Dogs smell awful (especially when they get wet) and crap all over unless you walk them out and you also have to pick up their piles of poop!
i prefer dogs. they're more active and fun to play with. and they won't keep scratching u all d time!!
Dogs, while clever and loyal to their humans need more care, need to be walked several times a day, and are too eager to please.

Cats on the other hand, were once worshiped as gods - and they have never forgotten that. They are independent, can basically care for themselves, they hear you when you call, but they take a message and get back to you when they feel like it.

I have two black male cats, Boo %26 Spooky. Boo is absolute ruler of the household. Spooky tends to be his second in command. They let me know that their litter needs to be scooped or changed, that their kibble bowl is running on empty, etc. And may the gods forbid that I ignore them for even one minute.

However, they are also the most loving, caring and helpful cats I've ever had. When I'm sick, they stay right by my side, Boo would even drag his water bowl to me so I could have water! They're both also VERY protective of me. I was arguing with my roomate recently, (nothing physical - just violently verbal), and they actually attacked him - full claws, teeth, hissing, spitting, et al. Even I got scratched trying to pry them off him. (Afterwards, they got fresh salmon and chicken breast that I personally sauteed for them as a treat.) To this day, they still hiss and growl at my roommate whenever they see him - LOL!
