OK, here's the deal; I have a 14lb. male and a 7lb. female. We recently moved, and our new vet is a block away, which is very convenient. We only have one car, and my husband works until 3.so since I'm home, I figured taking the cats to the vet myself would be easy. Just walk them down there in a carrier. However, Lotus had an appointment yesterday, and walking down there with over 7bs. hanging off my arm was a bit uncomfortable. So I'm definitely not going to try lugging Blaze down there in that fashion.
I always thought cat strollers were the most ridiculous thing, but I did tell my husband it would be convenient for walking your cat to the vet. So now I'm considering investing in one. Does anyone here have one or know someone who does? How has it worked out? If it were just for vet visits, I wouldn't be asking, but I figure if I'm going to pay a good amount for one, I might as well take the cats for walks on occasion. Any opinions are appreciated!

i have the suv stroller, i love it, it is great for taking them in pairs for shots.
it sounds cool i wouldnt pay alot for it though
what does it look like?
i think that would be a terrific idea for your situation. plus i have a cat that would love to go for a ride outside in one
Sounds like a Good idea for your Deal there. I want to get one , but my husban wont let me :(
How would you keep the cat in the stroller?
and that's why they have kitty carriers.
those things are cool! My boys want me to get one for our cats. I think it's a great idea for indoor cats. I once tried to "walk" my old cat and he was scared to death, although he loved the outdoors. I think something like this is ideal as it helps them feel secure in a territory probably already marked with other kitty scents. It's great for the vet, too. Most vets want cats in carrier or box, not brought in on leash or being carried .
yea it's easy to push you don't feel the weight that much and it keeps your animals confortable but on the other hand you want your cats to stay healthy so they need to walk to stay healthy so you have to choose if they get use to the stroller they will not want to walk anymore they will be competly lazy and not that fun anymore
I don't have one, but a friend of mine does. her cats really enjoy it. when they used to live in Marina Del Rey, they'd go for "walks" near the beach all of the time.
it sounds like a great idea. in the winter time make sure you get some nice warm blankets in there. maybe put the blankets in the dryer for few mins or so to warm them up.
I probably would do the same thing, there is a vets office about a block away from where we live though we don't go to that one, my friend's mom works at one that is about a half mile or so away so we chose that one. or we would have gone to the one that is about a block from us.
sounds like it would come in handy, thanks for the link catloverinpgh
I don't know if a stroller is the way to go. They have cat harnesses - you might want to think about that, they are MUCH cheaper. Plus, since your cats are 7 and 14 pounds, it sounds like they might NEED the walk. Here's a site for the harnesses.
