I do that once in a while too. Their bones are protected by thick muscles (helps them jump better). I would watch the cat to see if he walks different on the leg. Try touching the leg gentley, if he is protective about it, then definatly have the vet check it out.
Let's find out!

*CRACK!*

Meowrrr!
See if he limps. If he does then call the vet and have him seen to. If you are worried about the expense then some vets will work with payments.
This may sound harsh but if you want to avoid the vet you can check yourself. Take each leg in your hand and GENTLY manipulate it around. If the cat doesn't react (except with annoyance that you are messing with his legs) then he's fine. If he screams at you then take him to a vet tomorrow for an x-ray. Hes most likely fine if he is not limping.
As a vet told me, if he /she is walking on it even limping .it is not broken. So just watch him and please no more kicks : )
i guess to find out is to break his/her leg again and observe how much force you are applying for the leg to break.you will be answered.
I would like to side you across the floor. %26 yes they break. If it just happen you may want a vet to take a look. Or if it was to long ago it could grow back %26 cause the cat alot of pain , in the yrs to come . If the cat makes it that long.
Cats have very elastic bones, especially when they are young. If he isn't acting very distressed, he's fine.
