Curious Kitten?

I have got a seven week old kitten, and my parents said she is not allowed upstairs for multiple reasons, one being that she could shed, or destroy furniture. But she stays at the stop of the stairs meowing wanting to go up, and once and a while she will sneak up, do you think we should let her up to explore then she will stop wanting to go up?
Answers:
I have three cats and all have them have been curious now and then. Its their nature. Kittens especially are curious. Usually when the cat gets older it will calm down and not be so curious. Here are some solutions. Get the cat fixed, stay with the kitten while upstairs and every time it does something its not supposed to gently flick it on the nose and sternly, but not loudly say no. Brushing the cat regularly will help with the shedding.
Good luck!
The cat will continue to try to get upstairs. Cats want to be where their humans are and they want the warmest spots in the house.
Hi. Hey, I don't want to get you in any trouble with the Parents, but I would let her go up. She is just lonely and curious. Couldn't you guys compromise and close the doors to the rooms that you don't want her in? Then she will get used to the place and stop fussing. I bet she is cute. I love little cats, don't you? Duh.sorry.you got one already! Lol.
let her go but watch her
Probably not, but why not let the cat have its way? So what if it sheds or wrecks furniture? Those things can be fixed. Just let the cat go where it wills and you'll all be happy.
That won't stop her from wanting to go up. Cats are not easily trained. They are very independent and always curious. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but if she lives there long enough she will go upstairs on her own free will.
