curing ringworm?

Answers:
Is it on the cat or on you? You can try anti fungal creams from your drugstore but the cat may lick it off. My cat had ring worm and I didn't know it till I got it and went to the Dr. She gave me some cream to put on it and then I took the cat to the vet and he gave me some anti fungal shampoo to bathe him in and I did and put some cream on him too because it was on places he couldn't really lick off. The vet said that was rare. Anyway, you got to really clean your house to get rid of the spores that cause the ringworm. They can live in your house for months and can cause spreading and cause it to come back after you have gotten rid of it.
apply lamasil to it
Depends on where it's at. One the skin you can use things that work on athlete's foot but if it is on the scalp then you have to take an oral med with can only be given by a doc's RX AND you have to have a topical as well. This is HIGHLY contagious and it does take a few weeks for it to go away
Apply an antifungal cream - once or twice daily - be certain to cover the whole lesion and then at least 1cm (1/2 inch in US)extra all around. Continue using the cream for at least 3 days after the rash has completely gone. Do not use the powders as they are less effective. Keep the area as dry and cool as possible.
Use anti fungus constantly on affected area. Use it about six times a day so it can dry up. Once it goes away still use it because it can come back. It's real tricky. Act like the anti fungus is your best friend. Don't scratch it because it will spread. Believe me. Blessings
bleach, i know it sounds crazy but it works and its cheap
i think u should take ur pet to animals vet for check up first to see what the vert doctor says about the ringworm ?
Lamisil ointment on the lesions, and shampoo the animal with antifungal shampoo to prevent the spores from spreading. You can find antifungal shampoo online at online pet product sites. I don't know if petsmart, or petco carries them, I've never tried them for these products. This won't go away over night. You'll likely be at this for a few weeks. Isolate the animal from others if you can, and also check yourself! Humans can get ringworm easily too. You might even shampoo carpet and wash or even bleach areas the animal is known to frequent. Ringworm is a fungus spread by spores that transmit by both direct contact, and possibly airborne contact. To rid yourself of this you have to cover all the bases. Some vets want to shave the cat to rid the area of spores and facilitate application of medicine on the animal. Personal experience is that this is only necessary in very advanced cases. Oh yea, keep the cat box extra clean.
Iodine kills it right away.
